Hey All,
I got some questions on this : <a href="http://www.944online.com/images/944frontend1.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.944online.com/images/944frontend1.jpg</a>
Is it a bolt on? Easy to put on? Any mods you need to do? Is it GOOD?
Thanks A Bunch!
Mike

Thats the Fiberwerks front end. I am planning on doing this to my NA this winter.
As far as I've read, it's a direct bolt on and fairly easy install.
I know there are some folks here who have it installed. jeremyd had one on his 944SC he sold. Someone just posted pics the other day with this thing.
Uses all your existing lights and is suposedly a direct fit.

Opinions seem to be fairly polarized on this one. Some people love it, some hate it.
I actually really liked that nose when I first saw it, And I still think it's OK. I think what turns me off a bit is how the corners in front of the wheels stick out a little bit like when the spoiler-supports break on a stock N/A spoiler.
It defintely has style though, kinda 996-turbo-like with the big open duct holes in it..

i've got my fiberwerk nose last thurs and i'm gonna install it tomorrow, right now i have all the old lights and bumpers off. gonna sell the good part of the old bumper (look for the post). it looks well built to me, pretty easy to install, just gotta drill a couple holes in the metal brackets for the lights, i'll take pics of the install process tomorrow with detailed instructions.

I loved the way it updated my 944 without trying to pose as a turbo. The fit and finish were EXCELLENT! People constantly asked me if it was a new model Porsche. When I would tell them that it was an '86, there chins would practically scrape the ground!
Take a look at the web site...

Actually, the "footprint" of the front end is dimensionally exactly the same as the stock na footprint.
