Post Ok Finally... Pics of the Twins ('86 944 & '89 951)

OK, last try on the pics of the "twins".

As far as the C-2 rims being factory... The PO didn't exactly say, because he didn't buy them. I'm owner #3. The way he phrased the conversation was "The guy that I bought it from said that they came off a 911". So it would make me think that they actually did come from a 911. To be honest I don't really know.

The guy that I purchased it from, didn't know much about Porsches. He owned several businesses (translation wasn't poor) and bought the car 6 years ago and only put 12K on it in 6 years. He did absolutely nothing to the car other than drive it (rarely), change the oil, performe schedule'd maintenance (60K) and let it sit in his garage collecting dust. I will say that he at least kept the car in good shape. You can tell that he kept the leather and dash with good care (food hide and protectant).

The rear end needed an alignment so bad that I noticed it on the test drive and when I asked him if he ever had the rear end aligned (because he just put new Continental's on it) he said "you can align the rear end?" I just chuckled and said, "you really don't know much about these cars do you?" He response was that he bought the car on a whim and bought it mostly because an old girlfriend liked the car (fortunately he broke up with her shortly after and never let her drive it... wew!).

I had the car aligned in Colorado before I left and there was nothing at all wrong with the rear end (like an accident). Just needed align'd.

Thanks to the fella about the tip on getting the photos to work!!

VERY nice cars. It's cool to see the contrast between the N/A and the Turbo. The turbo is obviously the "better looking" twin!!

I'm not much for changing from stock parts. I personally like the stock look of Porsche's. I've seen all different types of rims on 944 and have to say that I don't like 90% of them. I've seen these rims on different 951 prior to purchasing it and thought that they looked ok in photos, but never say them in person. I was originally going to look into putting clubsports on it, until I saw the car in person. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but man they look awesome in person. I've definately been sway'd into liking these rims a ton.

To each his own I guess.
