Get one from a RLer, it'll be cheaper, and probably won't fail any sooner than a new one. Probably.

Post up a WTB. There's usually quite a few people with one laying around. Might get it cheaper than that. Otherwise, go for it.

yeah, but how can i be certain that im not getting a pig in a poke (so to speak) atleast with the new one, im sure it has some type of warranty and i dont have to worry about it failing in a month or 2. For that matter theres a couple used 944's in the local yard, i could get the pump from, but idk how to tell if its a good pump or not

I emailed the seller back in December about the pumps; he wouldn't confirm who made them or if they were truly German.

I bought that water pump on Ebay back in November when I had my timming belt done. It looked good to me and I have not had any issues with it. I liked that I did not need to send the core back. If I remember correctly it said it was made in Germany.
