I'm the one who gripes about the expense.

After its last bout of truculent behaviour I believe I may have been the one to use the phrase "I want that F@*^% piece of Boshe crap off my driveway once and for all!!!"

After I sorted out the problems, I drove it and came back smiling.

The domestic consensus is that I am a happy idiot and am generally treated as such.

There are far too many beautiful women out there. Not enough time to sample them all. What is this wife thing everyone keeps speaking of?

Once you've met the most beautiful woman in the world, there is no reason to look elsewhere.

Seriously: my wife is everything I ever thought a soul mate would be, and then some. No reason to sample anything when you already have the best.

I'll agree with the "soul mate" item. I've been married for a great 10 yrs! Three dates and moved in with her for a year; so I guess that makes 11. Besides, not to kiss and tell, I was under the car a few weeks ago, baby asleep, on a creeper; she said she always had a fantasy about a good mechanic!!!!! Grease and all - That was a lot of fun!!!!!

Perhaps a sex/porsche expenditure map should be gerated, something like:

1/4hr sex = 1000.00 for P-Car
1/2hr sex = 10000.00 for P-Car
3/4hr sex = 100000.00 for P-Car

You can see this scale is highly effective.

If any single women are out there offering rates like these, I can move wherever they are. Just let me know.

That's a hell of a good rate you've mapped out there. You're not an IT engineer or a plumber by any chance?

Hey Guys this is a great thread.

It is nice to see guys who aren't to big to admit that their women are important to them. I will be joining the married ranks next march and I can't hardly wait. Once again cool thread.

Thanks again for all the replies guys. It sounds like most of our wives have it pretty good. Honestly I have done like 80% of the 'good husband' suggestions, some of them verbatum. But then again I do those for reasons unrelated to the Porsche. I really like the idea of bringing friends and friends' girlfriends/wives to DE events....making it more than just watching someone drive. I talked to her again yesterday and got the green light for a DE event in September (my schedule's full till then anyway). I put things into perspective regarding all of the time, effort, and money we have been putting into the house, mostly for HER. Time for me to take a turn! Fair is fair and she's cool with it. Good luck to all of you, although it sounds like most of you have things figured out.

The Porsche expenses are just another line-item in the Car Project(s) Budget, which is a subsection of the Toy/Electronics/Automotive Budget.

The only other elements of the Budget are "Rent" and "Food." These were the guidelines coming in to the relationship, and, to paraphrase Super Chicken, she knew the job was dangerous when she took it.

As long as there's a nice place to live and we're going out to dinner 4 or 5 times a week, I'm set.

4 to 5 times a WEEK?! Doesn't anyone have a wife that can cook anymore?

My wife can cook...We just don't have the stomach to eat it. I BBQ...she nukes or orders it. A perfect relationship.

I met my wife drag racing my Mustang so she can't gripe about my car adddiction. I had about 45K into it so she thinks my Porsche is a cheap alternative. Wait till I get started with this one.....
