Default alignment and ride hight specs for 1984 944

Hey there everyone,
I'm needing to check some things, suspension wise, on my car.

my car is a 1984 944, standard suspension, 15" cookie cutter wheels.

my question is what is the factory/oem ride hight both front and back and what are the factory alignment specifications.

also, if any of you 944 cup racers have a 'track setup' and would mind sharing it.

my 944 is gutted for track only use, however, it's still bone stock standard suspension and sway bars, etc.(till i can save for new suspension pieces)

i've got weird handling issues and the rear end wants to whip out when cornering and i think my rear toe may be whacked. car drives streight in streigh line and does not pull but cornering is not confidence inspiring.

I'd like to validate that some prior owner did not jack up or lower the rear(it looks fairly level) or get the alignment hosed up. I'm hoping to do some measurements myself before i break down and go to a ntb or a race shop.(i always take a crack at it myself first!)

Thanks in advance !

from my searching, i found the following:

Front:
max out caster so both sides are equal
camber - 2 degree is about all u can get with stock suspension
toe in - zero toe

Rear
max out caster
camber - again 2 degree is all u can get
toe in - zero to .5"

does that sound about right? This is an 84 (early) 944.

You will not be able to adjust ride height in the front on a stock suspension. In the rear you can lower it with the sring plate.

I advise for track only.

Front.
2.5 or more neg camber, Zero toe

Rear
2.5 neg camber, 1/8 total toe in.

That is about all you can do. Once you go with updated t-bars and front springs you can lower the car about 1-2 inches from where it is now.

I realize the front is not ride height adjustable but I was wanting to check it just to be certain something is not jacked up between one side and the other. (and to determine if any prior owners had changed the rear ride height)

On a stripped out 944 the ride height will be higher than spec and probably rear end up since that is where alot of weight comes out. Idealy ride height with race springs or stock springs and stock weight is level at the rockers front to rear. For stripped, but stock car that may not produce the best balance due to all pitch and roll you get in the suspension. Most guys don't worry that much as it will all change with a proper suspension on the car.
