Default URGENTLY NEEDED: Shift cup bushing in San Diego

Anyone in San Diego county with a good shape nylon shift cup bushing, new or used, I need it ASAP (by tomorrow).

I was working on my shifter to take out slop and destroyed my bushing while attempting to reinstall it on the shift lever.

Please PM me if you have on available and I will come get it tomorrow.

The best way to take the lever in and out of that bushing is to undo the bolts holding it to the TT.

I don't have a spare but I'm going to hit a few junkyards today. I'll try to grab one for you and send it out tomorrow morning - will that help??

did a temporary fix that should be solid for the next week or so that i need it; the bushing split into 3 nearly perfect pieces and when you jam them together they stick.

pushed it into the metal plate and put some epoxy on the bottom, then put a large washer (almost the same size as the plastic) on the bottom and epoxied that to the plastic and the metal plate. after a night of curing it was pretty hard and i dont anticipate any problems for the week. if it does fail i can get one closer to school which is fine.

thanks for the offer though
