Get a bearing packing tool and a grease gun - makes repacking a cleaned bearing a piece of cake.

yea pep boys had a packing tool for $11. doesn't require a grease gun. was easy to use. and had a dust cover for leftover grease too.

i think it was this..or a pretty good knockoff.

Yeah, the packing tool work well. I just do it by hand. I don't grease bearings enough at home to worry about the packer tool.

Also, if you tighten the hub nut finger tight, you can still wiggle the washer with a small screwdriver. Don't crank on it with your hand. It truly is just finger snug.
