I had great results with Hawk HP+ in that application. Since moving to full race I run Porterfield RS-4 (Black) and others use Hawk Blues.

Hawk HT-10s. Never had a problem, and they're actually livable on the street (just a bit squeaky).

I tried EBC Yellows on my Mercedes in anticipation of track use, but then I got the 944 and the Yellows never hit the track. They worked fine, but they ate up my rotors in about 10,000 miles.

You should really consider swapping pads for Street and track/Auto-x. Just my .02.

I'm taking that approach after eating up a set of rotors on the street. I just ordered a set of the cheap Metal Masters from Paragon, for dust and squeal free street driving. Then I have a set of Hawk Blues for when I actually make it to a track.
