Default CPR splitter installed- pics!

After destroying my AIR splitter on the track i decided to try something different. Just got my CPR street version splitter in the mail and threw it on before the Speedfest show today. Install was super easy although i had to use some longer screws on the outer edges. We'll see how it does on the track at the Fest!

Looking good Danny, let's see if you can keep from destroying that one

Did you install new oil cooler lines?

Your car has taken such a transformation, it's insane. I really would like to have your Speedlines as well. You should still have my mailing address around there somewhere!

I wonder if a latex based paint would last on the splitter (due to flexing and bending). I'm planning on one, but I don't want the bare plastic look.

I may just go bare with it, but still. What would the best paint/coating be?

You can use standard automotive grade paint. Simply have your paint shop add more elastomer to the blend to give the paint some "flex". The material is ABS/High Impact Plastic....the same that most of your other painted plastic OEM trim pieces are made from.

Looking good Dan

Sorry for the few extra days in shipping, still recovering.

Car is looking good, I personally would paint yours to match the car, but on my Red car I'm keeping it black for the contrast...

Patrick, good to see you back, and thank you for adding me to your SIG, I'm honored... BTW check out my strange question..pic has been added.. I like it

Nice! I am in the same boat. Destroyed my AIR splitter and went with the CPR splitter as a replacement.

To compare the two, I would say the CPR splitter has a lot more clearance over things, because it does not come down as low as the AIR splitter... but I had a much easier time mounting the AIR splitter personally, maybe its because of my banged up front bumper.

I painted mine, using regular automotive paint, 2 stage, and did not add any extra nonsense in the paint. Came out perfect and has not chipped or cracked at all.
