Like the guys from Newfoundland I hired to take down a big tree in the backyard. They came in low and they got the job done, but, man, it was scary to watch. Next time I pull a move like that I'll check my homeowner's insurance policy first.

Another Idea.. I had a capable Machine shop fashion a new ear, and thread it to match. just takes a longer bolt. 2 beveled allen head screws scompleted the job. 50$. Had the compressor back on my car in under 2 hours. But.... Had to replace the compressor anyhow, as the clutch burned out a couple of months later. (hindsight is 20 - 20).. Replacements ARE expensive, went to a used part - still running storng 1 year and 13k miles later.. <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
