Default A/C Issues

Sorry guys, I know this is probably a common issue and I found some stuff that seemed related in search but wasn't sure.
I decided to go on vacation in the 944 to FL, but haven't had to use the AC yet where I live, so on the trip I decided to turn it on, and it won't work.
All air controls work perfectly, except that when the AC button is pressed, the A/C does not engage in any way. I hear a few noises from the air system, the the compressor does nothing, and the tach does not move any like it usually does.
The two things it looks like it may be are the AC relay and the low pressure switch. How can I check the low pressure switch?
Thanks.

Before checking anything else, check you've got refrigerant pressure. DIY kit or take it to a shop.
