968 wiper motor replacement

Hello,

My '92 968 front wiper motor died few days ago.
Can you people tell me if I can replace it with 944 wiper motor?

According to PET, the wiper motor assembly is all 944 p/n's (that would be late - i.e. '85.5+ - 944).
