Ok i tried the by pass trick and when i jumped it out the box buzzes and the tack goes to 6ooo rpm and still WTflip is going on ??

Hi Brian, Its the same set up as in the picture on clarks page, i did what the list explained, jumped out 1 and 4 then 7 and 8, the instrutions say to un plug the module but the picture shows it still plugged in?

Just disconnect and remove the relay box under the dash. I believe there was another thread on how to do this, just try the search. If not, try Clark's Garage....hope this helps

I would unplug the alarm unit, it has no function after the jumpers are installed. If your problem continues, post some pictures of the jumper connections. 85 1/2 right? They did change the alarm unit in later years.

I did a quick check of the early 85, late 85 and 87 alarm units and they are all wired the same. The 87 prints even shows the bypass for non-alarm models, jumper pins 1 to 4 and another jumper on pins 8 to 7. DO you have the jumpers only on the large connector and not on the small two pin connector?

Yes, i i had them that way. When you add the jumper do you remove the wires that are there?
Term 1 and 4 have wires on it do you take these off first then add the jumper to the module? or add them to the wires that are on the term?
