Default Headlight Switch Pinout?

Wipeout posting as schwank here. We're working on wiring toggle switches for running lights and headlights on the race car, but having issues reading the wiring diagrams for the switch (looks like a copy of a copy of a copy and can't read the pins). I have (I think) figured out the following:

Pin 30: 12v
Pin 31: ground
Pin 57: to running lights (I think)

Trying to figure out the headlights themselves...is it just pin 58, or more? Car is not running (still have belts and things to do), so trial and error isn't really an option.

Am I right on the pins, or do I have to also include some additional wires for headlights?

Additional info - looks like pin 58 is tied to pins L & R (makes sense).

So, those with wiring diagrams, does the following work?

Toggle one:
Ground (31), 12v (30) and parking lights (57)

Toggle two:
Ground (31), 12v (30), pins 58, L, and R (headlights)

I will get some info to you after I get home from work. I had to use two toggle switches when a friend of mine's switched melted due to high wattage bulbs. One switch raises and lowers the lights the other turns on and off the HL/parking lights. I am going to cut this out and replace the harness section with a new one.

Not worried about raising/lowering the lights. We deleted the motor/arms. If we need them up, we put them up and bolt them into place.

Now that I think about it, that would explain a few of the pins that I don't think we need...

The raising and lowering was a pain to figure out. Euro cars also have seperate left and right lighting circuts too, adds more work into the mix. I will get you some pics later tonite.

Yes, sweet.

Upon further discussion we decided on one 3 position toggle for off-running lights-all lights. Fits nicely in my console switchbank. As Wipeout said the flip up part is manual, we just need light power.

I looked at the work that I did and I am not proud of it but it made all the all the lights work. I do not have pin locations only colors cause the light switch was melted.

This was on an 84 944, we used one rocker and two 2 position toggle switches, two spdt relays and two 5amp diodes. Rocker switch would raise and lower the lights. Diodes were needed to isolate the parking lights so when turn sigs are used both side do not flash.

For the parking lights use one relay.
85 Gnd
86 12v coming from toggle
30 constant or switched 12v
87 to paking light wires DIODE AND ISOLATE (16awg gry/rd(x2)) +(16awg gry/blk+12awg gry)
left side right side
may be backwards

For the headlights use one relay
85 gnd
86 switched 12 volts (blk/yel) from toggle switch
30 12v (Red from orig light switch will work)
87 to headlights (12awg wht/blk+16awg wht/blk)

I cannot figure out how to upload the pics I took but this should get you guys started until I figure it out. PM me if needed.

Default Not pretty but worked.

This is why I was no help with pin locations. Had to help a friend out that had no lights due to no relays and high wattage bulbs.

Were you guys able to get yours to work?

I haven't done anything more with it yet, and I don't know that schwank has, either.

I'm wondering if since we're using all of the wiring that's still in-car if we don't just need switches. I'm wondering what the L and R are, exactly. I wish I had some way of tracing what those wires went to!

I just cut the wires going into the switch itself, some were melted together. I crimped new to the old and did all the wiring under dash.

The crappy part is Euro cars have seperate left and right side wiring so the diodes are an old trick from the car alarm install days.

I thought the Chiltons manual had wiring schematics in the back?
