Make your 944 into a 911

I think that car looks FAR better than any n/a 944. Stretched front ends much more than that were on many legendary cars including Jaguars in the past. People are so used the Honda proportions that anything else is just unacceptable. Personally, I think the Stringray Corvettes have some of the best curves on a stretched front end.
I'd bet if Ferrari made that car and installed a V12 to name it an Enzo everyone would kiss its rear bumper.

After looking at those photos daily, I think I'm actually liking it. The only complaint I really have is the front bumper - it doesn't seem to fit the lines of the car very well. The headlights are also a bit ugly. Personally, I would gone with 993 parts.

Love it! I took mine and made it 90's. This guy took his and brought it up to date. Maybe close to what a 944 would look like today if they kept the model. Love to have that front end on mine!

Its a testament to how some people love their 944s that a 996 will just not do. Its the only reason why someone would spend more money than what it would cost just to go buy a 996. Its also the reason why someone would not buy a corvette but instead spend more money to do a v8 conversion on a 944. In many ways, these guys are the most hardcore 944 enthusiasts.

To be honest I have 2 views
1> if the guy likes it fine, hes done a lot of work and good for him
2> Its way too mixed upfor me
part 68, part 911, part 44
The 44 essence has been lost, very square, sleak

That car is a characature of money and lack of class...

The lines of the 944 are very good aesthetically, in my opinion. The only fault IMO is the flat face of the car, which is rectilinear rather than curvilinear like the rest of the car. So, to me, the face does not match the body, esp. that notch above the front bumper. Methinks they should have made the 944 with covered fixed headlights like other Porsches and the newer Corvettes, and carried the hood line on down in one graceful flowing curve to the leading edge of the bumper.
And, those long slots for cooling air intake are not the greatest aerodynamically, nor are the relatively sharp cornesr where the bumper cover transitions from front to sides. 993 got that right. I dunno why somebody has not made a one-piece bumper cover to cure this aesthetic fault. Such a one-piece bumper cover would replace the current bumper cover, the header panel, the splitter (included in the piece), and the pop-up headlights.

Ha thats one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. I am sure 944, the mixture of Audi, VW, Nippondenso, and Porsche is the epitome of class and expounds that concept beyond all others as the "bastard Porsche" that its commonly perceived.
I think you mean caricature. Such use of esoteric multisyllabic terminology in such a colloquial forum is most interesting.
Taste? Put that car and a normal 944 side by side to the general population instead of a bunch of 944 zealots and the choice is clear.

This angle of the car is pretty sick:
That's about it. All other angles, the car is gross.
Why? Whyyyy?
