Wow, the scammer emailed me back. Here's what he said:

Hi,

Thank you so much for contacting me regarding my 1995 Porsche 968 Sport Coupe.The car has 119,500 miles,one owner,it's in perfect condition without any mechanical problems,with no damages or hidden defects,no need for additional repairs,clear title without any accidents,liens or loans.All power equipment are in working order. Has 3.0 L and producing 240 PS (236 hp/177 kW), 6-speed manual, 4-speed tiptronic and many more...I have all the car's manuals,2 spare of keys,all the documents and papers.The last price for the car is 3500$.I was fired from my job because the financial crises that affected almost everyone including the company I worked at.I'm in a hurry to find a buyer because I'm in debts with my bank, so now you can see the reason why I'm selling my car at 3500$. I want to make this transaction through eBay's Vehicle Purchase Program. I want eBay because they are the biggest Company and we can close this deal fast and safe for both of us.If you are interested to buy email me your full name and shipping address so I can open the case with eBay.

That car was on ebay a couple months ago...it was going for $13k if I recall. Same exact pics...I was going to buy it.

It's a common scam to pull down pics from eBay or a used car dealer's website and use them to sell a non-existent car. From what I've heard on other forums, on the west coast the modus operandi is to meet you to do the transaction (cash in hand) at some lonely spot, serve up a smack-down, steal your money, and your other car.

must be some car , it has a 6 speed manual AND a 4 speed tiptronic ....
I wonder if the guy who owns it knows it's for sale !!

Same ad in LA craigslist also. Total scam. I emailed him and told him only to call me and NOT email me. Needless to say, I got the same email as everybody else.
