I figured this, but my "build spec" is well shy of any actual racing.

I also like the cleaner look of the fiberglass units.

this is my progress with the drill and wire brushes:

very time consuming - yes, lots of fun, wish I had something better then electric drill - maybe one that plugs into wall, but this is good

!!! very nice, I think !!!

the pictures are exactly what it looks like, straight shot right from the camera, no lightning stuff or anything else

Awesome work! I'm excited to see this move along. You know I'm itching to do it.

Shoot the whole interior from the rear hatch or something. I just want to get an overall view of it.

Oh, and thanks for answering all the questions. I'm just really interested.

I will move all the tools out since all I have to have inside there now is couple of rags, drill, and the brushes! then take a picture

tomorrow wait for this

you should do it; do the back seat and see how you like it (the top portion) because if you take out the bottom - there is no stopping this mod then

I already have the rear seat out and the trunk and rear area stripped with the carpet tossed back over it.

is that where the majority of the road noise comes from? the trans-axle?

the more you take out the louder it will get

just top portion of back seat and rear is still not too bad, I'd think

sitting on the floor pan with nothing on it ... go-kart!

That nasty tar mat stuff does add up for sure. I pulled most off but left some of the stuff on the floors. I used Rustoleum Smoke Grey on my cage.

not like it really matters, I'm not worried about classes etc.
My mom always told me to think before i speak. I didnt always listen to her.

often i would say something and then wonder why i said it. i found out that when i spoke or did something without thinking about it first, i often found myself having to do something over.

as i aged and grayed and lost my libido i started to wonder how to take the shortest distance between point a and point b. what i found out is that if i think before i act, i can quickly figure out what the shortest distance is, and not have to do something over.

lol Tom, I'll be asking my friends - they know way more, the rule book can be VERY confusing on what's allowed and what's not

this is why I'm doing safety equipment first, and everything else after that

I was wire brushing something recently and kept burning through my cordless drill batteries. It limited me to 15 minute bursts. Then I realized (DUH) that I had an old corded drill in my basement. I dusted it off and finished the job. Sometimes you forget that an old corded tool might have some advantages!

yeah but I know for sure I don't have a corded drill, that would be badass!

what do I use for cleaning the area that I have allready done form dust? is this going to start rusting really fast or do I have some time? I need this to last untill middle of next week (when the paint stuff gets here and floors are patched up)
