Default Anyone using the Lindsey Short Shift Lever?

http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsche//BM-45135.html

They don't have any commentary on it - I'd like to shorten the throw on my 87 951 but have read mixed reviews on a Schnell kit - not to mention the install seems to be a PITA.

So, curious what the aforementioned shift lever will get me?

a cayman/boxter shifter? lol. if this is what your talking about http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Part...HIFTLEVER.html i wouldent even bother. it really doesnt shorten the throw a noticeable amount, pretty darn close to stock throw(if not identicle) when adjusted as high as it can go. i tried it and i just ended up switching back to the stock shifter for aesthetics and feel, but i would suggest getting the weltmeister short shift linkage, from what i hear its the best way to shorten the latteral and throw movement.

Its literally a short shifter. It makes the shift lever shorter, which sort of reduces the distance your hand has to travel, it doesnt shorten the actual throw. For a comparison, hold the lever at the midpoint and thats the sort of effect you get. I use the Schnell on my transaxle and it works well, as long as you lock wire the bolts or do something similar

I got mine yesterday. Will install it this week and let you know. But as mentioned earlier; this is basically a shorter lever compared with others, thats why the Lindsey fits all types of gearboxes like 968, 944 etc.
