Stop right there. You mention it has been sitting for along time. Replace the belts, water pump first before you start the engine. Otherwise!!! In any event welcome to this place. BTW go to Clarks Garage and bookmark that place as it is one of the best places as well.

Did you turn the alarm off with the key switch behind the drivers door?

Also, how long has it been sitting? I wouldn't try to start it at all without checking the timing belt, or you will have the head off of the engine before you even know the pleasure of driving a 944...

Oh, you'll learn also that Wifes and 944s don't go together either LOL. If you spend more time with one, and the other will get jealous and make your life miserable.... you choose which one.

Dave,

We would love more info on your find. How you found it? The story on why it has sat so long. Miles? Color? Pics if you can. As soon as you can get that damn alarm to stop.

RangerDave and his big dog, Dick!

or is it, RangerDave and his big DOGDICK?

I miss Carlin, sorry David, your user name took me down memory lane.

Check Clark's for the alarm bypass instructions.

Welcome!

yeah dont try to start it and strip all the teeth off the belt resulting in bent valves. PUll the battery, fix the rust under neath it before it hurts the DME computer. Put a pump and belts on it w/ rollers- www.paragon-products.com and then try to start it.

That's probably exactly what the alarm system is trying to tell him...
