I hope I am old enough to drink, I owned a bar for years. And resided in them for years more.
And I will buy the first beers, its supposed to be the new guy who buys the first rounds. After that we can armwrestle for them.

but really I just feel like wanton wastefulness is arrogant and shameful. A legacy of the Ken Lay/boomer generation. Just because you make 500k a year doesnt mean you are under any obligation to make 500k worth of trash per annum. Its the treehugger in me I guess. Learn to use what you have well, then start with the bigger better treadmill. i also feel that drag racing a porsche is an exercise in maschocism.
You seem to take it as me telling you how to live your life. Not in the least. Unless and until we become good friends, I could give a rats *** beyond normal expressions of sympathy if your car catches fire or whatever. Once we are friends, you can call me at 4AM for bail money, or just look across the cell, if we are really good friends. I also like to poke around in the personal lives of my good friends, and offer the same priveleges to them. I have found it a positive influence to get an outside opinion of your inside insanities occasionally.
I have been guilty of buying things that I had no use for. I really didnt need a PRS guitar, it is for players with more talent than me as far as I am concerned, I cant do it Justice.
I certainly cant drive my car to do it justice, although that will change with time and experience. I am not much of one for false pride. I am a man, not a boy. I know my limitations, and my strengths.
I went through my street racing/tequila shooting/fist fighting stage about 10 years ago. Now I think about proactively making sure I see my kids grow up, making sure they have all they need. Ergo, if I am gonna race, I am gonna train. Lots of school time, lots of DE. I wont be the moron stuffing his car into the wall, at least not due to operator error. **** happens, this is true, but you can be a Boy Scout about life.
