Talking Kinda new guy...Quick introduction.

I learned to drive in a 928 back in 1985. Have been facinated with cars and Porsches ever since.

I have taught performance driving since 1992. The school I worked with used 944, and 951 cars as student track cars.

I have built many cars, bikes, Jeeps and trucks over the years. Sold off my 500hp/600lbTq Audi S4 last year and have been wanting something new to build/play with.

An opportunity came up for a 951 and I jumped on it. Car needs some love, but I have a tendency to replace everything the way I want it any way.

The 951.

...and a quick teaser shot from the Audi S4 so you can see what kind of sickness I have for cars.

The S4 was a blast. LOVED the car but it was time to let it move on for another project.

Looks like they just painted over the rubber.

Yeah, the car needs some love. Rear bumper rubbers were painted.

Looks like the car had a bit of a hard life. Sun faded, couple of coats of paint, bad head/head gasket and probably more.

I have a nasty habbit of tearing everything down anyway, so no sense in throwing away good parts.

I'm actually not really ready to dive into it as a project until after I finish a couple of others around here. So I may try to just get it up and running well so I can drive it a bit and then decide where to go from there.

Hard to beat a 500hp awd sleeper sedan. (I suppose the giant red Stoptechs gave away the secret a bit).

But the 951 should be MUCH more fun on a track and auto-X.

I find it difficult to be enthusiastic about my Audi, when my P-Cars take so much of my time, money, effort, and by themselves are soooooo much fun to drive, I even enjoy my N/A over my TT Quatro... although I believe the TT would destroy the N/A on an AutoX circuit...

Nice 951. Nice S4 engine. Nice garage. Nice dog. Nice snowshoes. Welcome to Rennlist. Sounds like the Porsche has now found a good owner.

Missing side marker......weight reduction? intercooler air flow....actually it was in the back with some other random parts.

Both front fogs are broken, needs some color sanding, I already tossed the 300ZX seats that came in it for some nicer race seats. It really does need some love. I am in the process of pulling the head right now to figure out why the back cyl is at 0 compression.

I'm on AW (streetcrawler) and AZ (Cole).
