I forgot, www.9xauto.com has the Evo 2 for $569. The difference between this seat and the Evo 2 Plus is a slight difference in height of holes.

Jsandc - thanks, and yeah, kinda hard to go by these #'s without actually knowing what the seat is like, have to start somewhere though

so what are these aluminum seats and how do they stack up against fiberglass? Cobra seats are kevlar ...

Kirkey, the biggest name in aluminum seats, are pretty popular because of their price. Personally, I don't find them as comfortable - but you should be able to get creative with foam and fix that.

Kirkey's are ok, but also - Not certified. SCCA and NASA even have specific mounting rules for these (and similar) aluminum seats.

bump for my fatass

also, Chad and Jim - I picked up some Xylene today from Sherwin Williams - the people that were selling it to me looked at me - read the description and I'm like

"yup, that's the stuff"

"are you sure?"

"yep"

"you know you cant breathe it, eat it or anything right? it says fatal"

"yup ... actually, maybe you have a mask for me"

so I came home, emptied one of the spray bottles - and put this Xylene stuff into it - to see how it would work; sprayed some in one corner to see what will happen, in a few hours i'll check on it and continue scrubbing

--------------------------------

now for the seats:

what's the requirement for the PCA? I see corbeau seats @ SCCA and nobody tells people that they can't use them; if I buy something like a Sparco Evo 2 for myself, does the passenger has to have the same seat?

both driver and passenger are going to have 6 point FIA harness (G-force) - so I'm all set there
