Ok, so I am thinking I need a new project and my 944 is pretty much done. I am thinking of selling and have no idea what I can get for it. Any ideas?
A top of Line 944 Update with a supercharger running at 6psi adding approx. 60 new horses. One of a kind body kit (see vents) and many upgrades with only 80,000 orginal miles.
It's here...

Serious please...

Unfortunately, I think a lot of what you've done (interior, paint, custom body work, and even the super charger) doesn't add much to the value. It looks pretty clean and well taken care of - so maybe the $5 or $6k mark?
Certainly it wouldn't command a premium over a 951... And I have a hunch they're selling in the $6-$10k range. I expect a regular, well taken-care-of 944 would bring $3 to $5k.

Wow - you've put a lot of work into the car! Did you ever make it to the dyno to see what sort of power the supercharger added? If you don't mind me asking what was the total cost including labor to install it?

Most of you are undervaluing a good NA. They are hard to find in proper condition. Although the Supercharger and definitely the Rear Side Vents may limit your amount of buyers, and de-value the car. Lower mileage on it is nice.
This car is also in Canada, which is a different market then US. Their cars tend to have a premium.
Should be able to get $4.5-5k from it. However I would say try for $6-7. It all really depends on how fast you want to sell it.

No, no, I already have eliminated most of the 951 owner comments. My friend and I already discussed this. The people with the well-known, "951 Superiority complex" is so predictable. The Supercharger alone is 3k. But thats ok, when the de-value any 944, they devalue their own.
When I upgraded my car, never did I get any worth while advice from these same folks.
PS: My friend who has a well- looked after 951...when he is feeling that Turbo lagg...I am flying right on by him. True, he catches me but I got the whole-shot. Surely thats worth more than 3 k alone...?
Ah well...everyone is entitled to their opinon, I guess...

Just because the Supercharger kit may be worth $3k, that doesn't mean it adds that to the car. You would make more selling it separately, and putting your motor back to stock.

OT, but Erzengal- I didn't even manage to get banned. My apologies, again.

hmmm, some good points. May see it as I will never get back the 25 k into it, so perhaps look at LS1 or Lindsey motor upgrade, because I can't simply stop....need a hobby.

I know I have had mine for sale for a few months now and it isn't as cleanly modified as yours or anything like that, but I am learning that people are leary of buying someone else's hotrod, that is for sure. For the amount of work that has gone into my car, I think the price is a steal, but apparently no one else seems to think that. But sick car FWIW

Put it up for sale for what you want out of it. It will either sell or it won't. If the supercharger were a respectable brand (say SFR) then it might add value to the car, but the current Thomas Knight one I would say only detracts from the value in the eyes of a Porsche fan...some ignorant teenager that doesn't know much about the cars would probably jump on the fact that it's supercharged. Here is not the market you want to solicit your car to if you want to even get a fraction of your investment back.
Where is the $25k into the car if you don't mind me asking?
