Geezus!
Check this out... <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6762&item=1876107790" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6762&item=1876107790</a>
This can't be for real, can it?
Seriously, if ANYONE gets a hankering to buy a copy of the manuals online, let alone for $232... please, don't.
Regards, ...Scott

The way ebay works, the math isn't necessarily linear. If the current bid is $10, but the high bidder's *top* price is $30, and someone else is willing to bid up to $40, then the new bid would be listed at $32.50.
That doesn't change the fact that something very goofy is taking place on that auction, and someone is about to get hosed...

The only advantage I see this CD is a clickable table of contents. The free version I am aware of doesnt have that but Im not paying several hundred just for that feature.

I have not been able to find the 968 workshop manuals online, only the 944 workshop manuals.
If anyone know where to get them (968 manuals). Please let me know.

I may have missed something, but I don't recall seeing the _968_ manuals on pirated low-bux pdf CD or for free download anywhere, anytime. If I'm right, then this isn't that bad a deal. Well, it wouldn't be that bad a deal _if_ the 968 manuals weren't such a POS. They contain a lot of good info, but are even worse organized / written than the 944 manuals.
The full 968 hardcopy set goes, IIRC, for around $300, and you still need at least the 944S2 manual as well (for 'check engine' codes, etc.)
Considering that the manuals for my Toyota 4x4 pick-up were about $225, and the full set for the Forester was just over $200 (both from dealer, sole source, AFAIK), Porsche manuals aren't that bad a deal. They're just very damn poorly done by comparison.
Jim, yes, I buy the factory manuals for _every_ car I buy... saves more time & hassle & money than it'll ever cost!

The 968 cd-rom manual that I have *ahem* "seen" does have a clickable table of contents. Its out there, if you know where to look, and freely available, so I have *cough* "heard".
I do not condone piracy of copyrighted materials, let alone say so in a public forum. That doesn't mean it's not out there, and anyone who looks hard enough will no doubt find free versions of most of these manuals being swapped for free...

Is anyone willing to send me the link to one of these horrible horrible
places that offers a download of the 968 manuals, so that I might inspect it?

oops - my bad - I was referring to the downloads of 944 and 944 turbo manuals not having a clickable table of contents - from my limited experience.
