Hi everyone. I have a question that I am sure a lot of you know. I ordered a set of Eibach sport springs for my 1987 944. I know how to install the springs, but on the rear of the 944 there are no springs. It has a torsion bar in the rear. So how do i adjust the torsion bar? The springs lower the front of the car by 1.25 inches. The rear is supposed to be lowered by 1.5 inches. How do I do this?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Hmmm... good question. I plan on doing something similar to my 85.5 n/a pretty soon as well. Right now all I'm going to be able to afford are springs anyways... maybe front coil overs and shocks (they are cheaper at paragon) depending on what works better. I'll do a search later on when I plan on doing it though.
Does the 85.5 come with sealed or unsealed struts?

You can lower the rear of the car by messing with some bolt back there, there's a tech write up on it somewhere...can I be any more vague?
Anyway, IIRC it only lowers it like 1/2 in though, so that probably wouldn't be enough. I've also heard reindexing the t-bars are a huge pain in the butt.

Get the June issue of Excellence, it goes over the rear lowering procedure in detail. I believe it's also on Paragon's site as well. Up to 3/4" will be the max you can lower the rear.
