Question Ride Height

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I cannot get the M030 heights to come out to 25-25.5" to the top of the fenders. The spec in the front calls for the head of the rear bolt on the castor block to be 130mm +/- 10mm below the center of the wheel. If I use 140 mm this makes the fender lip 26.25" or so.

In the rear the center of the torsion bar tube is 18.5mm +/- 10 mm below the center of the wheel. The fender lip is even higher.

I have read Jim Pasha's articles in the past and he said to have the control arms level. My head is too fat to get under the car when it is on the ground.

What is the lowest you can go without risking ball joint binding? I am wanting to set the ride height and let someone else set the rest of the angles as I am tired of the up down routine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Doug:

They are 225/16 front and 245/16 rears. Same wheels I had when you leveled the rear for me.

I put in the 28mm torsion bars, and I now have the adjustable height bilstein struts with 250# springs.

When I took the car apart, I did not have the presence of mind to measure the heights with the fixed struts. Oh well.
