I too am trying to get it up now, I go to Internet games, then it wants me to register or something..everywhere I enter that IP it won't connect, it says "connect" for a minute, then "connection failed" (or something like that)
Plz verify, do we connect via "peer to peer" (the only place I can find to enter the IP),or "Internet games" where it tries to connect me to EOA's servers???? Help!!
Bummer. I wanna RUN!

Just a note of warning everyone:
EAO's servers do Automatically detect if you are running cheats, or hacked versions of cars. They cross reference your car's info with the correct car info stored online, and if it doesn't match, you're BOOTED from the server.
So don't use the "own all cars" hacks and so forth, if the servers notice you're racing the police cars, or your own modded 959s, etc, they will boot you.

OK, I got it working. One of the problems was after I made a password on the EA site I didn't edit my account to join in the Porsche Unleashed game.. You need to register each game you want your account to be able to play online.
How do we know if we are racing against other listers? I never had a chance to enter the IP I wanted to use.
I got my butt spanked the first time, which is no big deal, but I slid across the finish line on my top, much to their amusement I'm sure. Their cars had an asterek (*) next to the type, am I correct in assuming that means the cars are not stock? They walked away from me in the 951 S like I was in a 912..
This has potential..

An asterisk ( 88 Porsche 944 TurboS* ) means that it is OWNED by the player, and could potentially have aftermarket parts installed, and has special downforce/tire psi settings.
To ensure a fair playing ground, everyone should race stock cars. Otherwise, your tuning skills come into play as well. Some upgrades are actually downgrades. Such as the 2.4 engine, apparently, is slower than the 2.2 for older 911s.
Also, a fully tuned 53 356 is faster than any other 356 in it's era's class.
As far as knowing which players are rennlisters, I play online as RAPTOR.
tip: your tire pressures should always be 45/45. As unrealisitc as it is, tires dont' burst in teh game, and the added pressure eliminates a lot of body roll.

I just got the game. Incredibly fun! I already have a 930 with a stage 3 turbo kit on it. that thing is a F***'n beast. can't wait for the 951. I can drive it on quick race, but I want to modify it. haven't tried the multiplayer yet. GREAT GAME.
