Excellent condition inside and out. Exterior has no dents, rust, or scratches. Interior has no rips or blemishes. This car has the SPORTS SEATS package with the side bolsters. Vehicle is mechanically first-rate. Engine has no problems and the Turbo is very strong. All 4 corners have new BF Comp TA tires. Power lock on the passenger side does not function as well as the remote hatch. Lock and hatch will open manually just fine. I purchased the vehicle last year with no records.

<img src="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/porsche5050e.jpeg" alt=" - " />

Car was involved in a drivers side accident where the door and panel behind the door was damaged. No frame damage(feel free to inspect vehicle). Damage was repaired by a professional as can be seen by the condition of the vehicle(must see in person).

<img src="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/porsche5050b.jpeg" alt=" - " />

PLUS: Beautiful condition and wonderfully running vehicle

MINUS: salvage title/no maintenance history

<img src="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/porsche5050c.jpeg" alt=" - " />

I have been on rennlist for some time and I will first offer the vehicle here because I’d love to see a fellow rennlister obtain the vehicle. If you are interested or have any questions please email me at: tariqaleemuddin@hotmail.com or call me at 847-924-9194.

I have no history of when the timing belt or water pump has been done. The price of the vehicle reflects the fact that there is no history and the salvage title. If this car didn’t have a salvage title and a paper trail it would sell for much, much more(I test drove many 944’s before choosing this one). It will be sold a person who understands how easily these cars can be salvaged. I don’t want to start a debate of why to or not to buy a car with a salvaged car but I brought this car because of its superior condition and excellent drivability. I need to sell it because I just graduated from the University of Iowa and NEED an everyday driver. While this car will suffice for that function, I just don’t feel comfortable putting it through that task.

Here is a group picture of the vehicle with another 951 (black on black) and 300zx.
(Mine is the car on the right)

ALSO: Porsche owners manual (perfect condition) and original porsche keys/wheel locks with keys/alarm keys will be included.

I have an 85.5 n/a I'd be tempted to sell (especially with a blown head gasket) to buy yours. However, I like the wheels on my car. Would your turbo have the same offset as my n/a?

Michelle: '86 turbo and 85.5 NA cars have the same offset. They should swap without any problem.

What's the story with the little pinstripe down the side of the car? I've seen some cars that have it, some that don't. Was it just a factory option, or with only some colors? Mine didn't have it, and my new 86 black turbo also doesn't have it.

Michelle,
I believe the wheels would fit just fine. I think the offset was changed with the 1987 and up models. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. I'm not in a rush to sell it but I did want to be fair on the price. Contact me via e-mail or phone when and if you're ready to purchase and if it's not sold by then we'll talk.

Any idea what mine would be worth (after I fix blown head gasket )? It has 270K on it, paint job isn't great, and it has been tagged in the passenger quarter panel. Interior is ok except for tear in driver seat. Timing belt and water pump will be new as well. Think I could get a couple of grand on ebay? I'd say more than 2 but probably less than 4.

Your car looks much nicer than this:

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2400614817&category=6434" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2400614817&category=6434</a>

....but we'll see where that auction ends.

Hey I was looking at that one on e-bay.. parts maybe?? winter beater??
Michelle.. would you be interested in an engine- trans swap?? I'm only kidding... ??

I still have my buffer-It will be in storage until spring.. and I still have to get parts from your parts car. I've been so dam busy lately
(i.e. lazy)

I've seen 85.5's going for 2-5 K on e-bay. with that much recent work you may get more.

You will be doing well to receive $5400 for this car. I sold my PERFECT 86 951 daily driver last year with 117K for $5000 (WORST decision I ever made). I can't believe I received so little for it - I was just in a hurry to sell it. I had ALL maintenance records, Koni yellows with uprated front springs, autothority, BBS, Momo, and more. It would smoke new Z28s and Mustangs.

I hope you can sell it but more importantly, keep in mind that these cars CAN be driven on a daily basis, they just require more maintenance than your average honda. I now drive my 87 944S on a daily basis and will eventually make it a drivers ed/race car when money permits buying something else.

I could also throw the parts car in (an 87). Hmmmm....I'd probably be able to pull this off if I could get $3-4K out of all of it. I'll have to think about this. I'll also have to get my sons' permission <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Michelle: are those real 993 wheels on your car, or copies? You'd have to be running spacers and long studs on your car if they're real (or copies, maybe. I don't know if anyone made knock-offs with early offsets.), and you'd have to do the same to the '86.

As far as selling your car, I think between 2 and 3k would be pretty reasonable, hold out a little and you should be able to find someone who would take it for 3k.
