It's true, the front and rears piston sizes in the calipers are different though and there is a proportioning valve on the master cylinder. Both these items contribute to the actual braking force applied to the front and rear axles of the car - the force to each axle is not the same even with the same pad sizes.
Another thing, the front pads will wear out nearly three times as fast as the rears. You can change out the proportioning valve on the master cylinder for a 928 one. It's a direct swap and will give you a little more rear brake bias. Listers who swap to big reds at the front usually do this mod but it has advantages to the stock set-up also.
