Also what is the option code for ABS brake for a non turbo S car? Where would I find that code?

Thanks.

That holds the factory alarm activation switch for the hood.

If you search "option codes", you'll get some great info.

Which, by the way, if you have, and leave the hood open for a few days while wrenching, will tend to discharge your battery...good idea to unplug it...

Thanks guys. I looked at one yesterday that had it and was just wondering because mine didn't.

My car also doesn't have ABS brakes. That's strange to me. I thought that was a standard option for 88. What better for the track, ABS or non?

Your car do have abs, do you see the cream colored plastic thing in the pic? that part of the ABS System.
About ABS system for the track, that depend in some variables , track configuration ,driving style and so on , the ABS system purpose is to avoid locking of the brakes if a sudden stop occurs, for street that nice.
But in my opinion and experience the ABS is useless for the track, prone to break in hard driving conditions.
hope this help

Why wouldn't the option be listed then? Or was it standard in 88 and just not listed on the options list in the trunk?

My na has them, and it certainly does not have ABS.

The 944 FAQ has a list of <a href="http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq05.html" target="_blank">option codes.</a>

4 play is correct, the cream colored connector is the pad wear sensors.
