Default Mixing solid and rubber trans/motor mounts

Good Day,

Opinions needed on using solid transaxle mounts with a motor on rubber mounts. Though the transaxle will still flex a bit, I'm wondering if there would be any issues with having one solid end and one flexy end. This is for a street-driven car.

Thanks.

I once read that this is the way a street car should be set up....

Anyway, my N/A has been this way for 20K or so mileage wise, and no issues with driveability or maintenance... but she is broken right now (I suspect bad oil pump or bad lower balance shaft bearings...) but need to fix the Turbo first...

Solid trans mount firmed up shifts nicely...

When I had to replace my tranny I filled my tranny mounts with windshield urethane. It made them quite stiff. I have noticed little difference. There is a little bit less wheel hop, but I still need my suspension redone.

As per the link, if you buy billet mounts, why would there be a core charge?

Will find out soon. I have the Lindsey solid trans mount but OEM motor mounts. Figured I might as well use them til they blow before buying solid motor mounts too.
