LOL no Thomas...it's an on going battle. I replaced some lifters a while back that were making a ton of noise. It's now nice and quite, but since I didn't have a tensioning tool I wanted to double check the belt tension and took it to a local P-shop. They came back with a 2-3 hr time. Thought it was a liitle too long.
How are things with you?

Thanks PorscheDoc for the info.

What the shop is likely quoting you is book time, not the actual time the technician will take to do the job. A successful technician should be able to do any job in a shorter amount of time than what the labor guides say. It's just a facet of how a shop works.

yikes... hopefully after you retention the belts, all will be well

Things are good here... no car issues that need immediate attention at the moment. Funds a still a little tight but I don't have to sell my 968 spoiler or gt-racing bumper. Might be painting them in the future also.

We'll need a meet soon!

Everything's good...I tightened the belts by feel when I replaced the lifters and just wanted to make sure the tension was set right. I've put over 2k on the motor since the rebuild and figured it was time to check them anyway.

Glad to hear you're able to hang on to that stuff. I haven't had the time either to install the gt bumper and 968 wing. Soon I hope. It's a never ending project/battle.

Definetly on the meeting.
