Default Took delivery of my '91 944S2

I like these wheels in the flesh boys and girls, sorry for all that hemming and hawing. Here is the story on the 928 board. I posted it there as sort of my 928 swan song until another one comes along.

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ce-anyway.html

Coming up the coast and through NorCal in the 'S2 was a blast. When I first jumped in the thing I was underwhelmed since I came right outta the 928S4. Some torque seemed to be missing, heh. The first drift on Hwy 1 and all was right with the world

Great story, and great cars!

I have to say, imo the 944S2 is the best-looking of the lot

Give ya $1,200 for it

Very nice. Question though, what size are your front tires?

Should I just stick with these wheels you guys? I swear I was told they were 18-inchers but I guess I was wrong. They are 17" and I like the look. Whats the quick way to tell if they are oem or repros again?

FWIW I like the look...I would keep em...unless they are non-oem heavy-weights....in which case I'd replace them with real Cup II's !

Just noticed your sig...does that thing really have 24k miles?? If so, WOW !

I like the rims. It's probably just the way the photos were taken but, the front tires look like the profiles are to short. The pictures look like there is a big gape between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender well. Don't get me wrong though, still a sweet car. Let me know if you want to get rid of your rims.

Yeah when I picked her up Monday the 6th in NorCal we were at 249xx. She just flipped 26k after the trip back to Seattle and such. It is very much like a new car in all respects. I have a few small details to sort out but after that I'll have a zero-excuses S2

...and I have sitting on the shelf a set of real Cup II's from my 993. If someone can tell me how to discern if the rims on my car are oem or not I may take your advice.

OK. Wait a second. I need to sit down for this. So you're telling me that, in the span of 3 Rennlist threads you bought and sold 4 Porsches and came out in the end with a 993 and a 944 S2.

I hate you.
