Who has a supercharger on an S2 (or 968)?

[QUOTE=Olli Snellman;6458836]S2 project just going on in Finland. It's a SFR kit.
Oli,
What is the bit in front of the intercooler (short tube) - is it a MAF sensor?

That's not my project. Iam not sure does the owner of that S2 hang around here. What i have heard car is now up and running and there was some issues concerning boost which seems to be higher what owner expected.
Yes that is a MAF sensor. he is using Split Second piggy back to convert the signal. I am a little bit secptical how it work.

Spotted my name mentioned on the last page and thought I'd better check in and say hi. I've now had my SC fitted for about 5 months and it's been working very well, although my job (and the winter weather) has meant that it's only done one track day and a couple of thousand road miles so far.
I'm delighted with the performance at the moment on my rather well worn engine, it's very linear in power delivery, has the great torque of the S2 combined by a much more potent mid/top end. There's a few bugs I want to iron out, I want to lower the temps a little, refine the mapping and so on, and then later this year will possibly have a new bottom end that will allow us to run quite a bit more boost. I'm quite looking forward to that I do need to fit an LSD first though...

All very encouraging!
Does the SFR kit for the S2 allow for the aircon to be retained? (I was under the impression it did but it doesn't explicitly say on their website...)

When I spoke with Vitesse they indicated they could provide an S2 MAF and have it tuned to suit a supercharger with a given psi out of the box. That seemed ambitious to me, as I would have thought that sort of installation would only work through live tuning on a dyno. Perhaps that only applied to the initial tune? I have heard a lot of positive things about Vitesse, but I guess I'm missing some details, and it's in my nature to question everything and require evidence - comes with being an engineer I guess.
Have you found it has taken a lot of tuning to get it right?

I use the SciVision MAF purely as that's what I've had on the car for a few years. At some point I will probably go with the Vitesse MAF, I've been considering adding the wasted spark setup too so might combine this with the new engine.
I have nothing but the highest praise for John at Vitesse, he came up with the base map for me which was pretty close to where it needed to be which is quite remarkable given how many variables there are. I've left the timing alone for the time being (my assumption is that if SFR are selling the kit with no timing changes then the more conservative settings John put onto the base map should be fine).
I'll be adding a knock display soon and will try to get the car onto a rolling road for some fine tuning by a pro, but adjusting it on the road with the wideband as I've been doing is very straight forward - as a complete novice I had the car running well and safely within a few minutes, wiring the kit in took longer!
The only area I'm not completely happy with is my part throttle settings at high rpm settings, this isn't something one person can really do on their own (unlike most other conditions) and finding willing victims to make adjustments on the laptop is a bit tricky as it's quite uncomfortable and noisy for passengers in my car.
I should also add that John's pre and post sales support is the best I've encountered, so I'd be inclined to believe John if he says something is possible.

As an alternative to the SFR, check out the supercharger thread on the 968 subforum - Carl has just posted some photos of his Raptor setup in a 944.
