How many 944/951/968's have you parted out or totaled?
I am always wondering how many 944/951's are left out there so lets see how many we have sent to Porsche heaven. I know this really won't show any exact numbers but it will be interesting to see a running tally. If you know of someone who has parted some or totaled one and they aren't on Rennlist then add it to the list, otherwise just post what you have done personally. I will keep track of how many everyone posts and keep a total on this original first post. Try to keep your post simple and just specify the year and model, and if you want colors and what happened as well.
My personal contribution=
Totaled- 1988 944- Red/Black, Woman driver passed out while driving and launched off a curb and landed on top of the 944 innocently parked.
Parted- 1987 944- Red/Tan, Auto. T-boned in the left side.
Running Tally
924- 9
924S- 9
931- 1
944- 121
944S- 4
944S2- 0
951- 31
951S- 3
968- 0

Of all the posted pics I have seen, 90-95% of the damage will buff right out using the right compound...
Some people around here seem to be so stripping the car bit from bit and selling off the bits happy.... Jeez...

Panel damage, sure. Frame damage, unless you work at a body shop, is something I don't really want to do.

I haven't parted any although I've certainly benefitted from others parting
I also like to think that I saved my 924S from being parted as it was fairly close to the scrapyard

My 944 was totaled, the engine/ tranny was pushed back about 6 inches. Yes, the tranny went into the spare tire well. I was hit head on at 60mph.
My S2 Cab was rear ended at about 55mph. I thought it could be fixed, but trying to find a shop that would do the work with used body panels proved to be too much. It would have cost about $5k after it was all said and done. SO, I parted it.
The 951....well that car hated me and after all the money and a year and half...I decided to kill it. No regrets....
But I look at it this way....by parting the cars....your value just went up!

Amazing how many good parts came off this 89.
How do we want to count the 15 I've climbed thru in junkyards over the years? Only 2 or 3 were turbos.
