Thumbs down EDIT: I HATE the internet!

Bringing back the E30 M3

http://212.190.116.226/news.php?cI4Dj8jx

Now if Porsche would buy a clue and release a 944 we'd be in business.

Sorry, man. That one's a hoax. I wish it were true, given my BMW background, but if you check the URL, you can get one of the many hints that it's a fraud.

I wonder how that will compare to Honda's upcoming S2000-R with the 3 liter 360hp straight 6, carbon fibre chassis, and ima based rev match assist.

The spelling mistakes and bad grammar are enough to tell you it's BS.

1) "E30 M3". [punctuation outside of quote]
2) Bangle said, "We had to work within the lines of this vehicle from the mid-eighties and update it without losing it's original look. Bangle, when asked... [no end quote]

That's all I can see right now, but I wasn't reading the article with a fine tooth comb because I didn't expect it to be a prank. Claiming 'the spelling mistakes and bad grammar are enough to tell you it's BS' is simple to say after someone already WAGERS that the article is false. It's like 'predicting' that the market is gonna take a dive after it's seen the front page of the paper.

Funniest part is...I found the link on the front page of www.supercars.net! I e-mailed the webmaster because even HE says it's from CNN.com! The page says CNN.com on my task bar as well. Heh, heh I wasn't the only one fooled by this ****.

But still, I got all excited and BAM! What a let-down.

trev, you have one bad *** 968 my friend.

the e30 m3 is my favorite of the m series to date. in fact, a few months before i bought the 944 i was a signature away from planting my rear in one of the finest low mileage examples i have ever seen, but don't ask - it is a long, sad story.

One of these days, I'm going to get an E30 M3 and turbocharge it! And get rid of those dinky small wheels too...

Danno, here's some inspiration, straight from Munich. BMW's paid advertisements on SpeedTV always talk about how the F1 engine is based on the production BMW 4 cylinder, or vice-versa. Somehow I suspect that cylinder head is a far cry from anything ever sold in a BMW showroom.

Actually, I read the news from CNN.COM everyday, and you'd be surprised at how many spelling and grammatical errors there are...

Hehehe. I just spent 15 minutes sending fake news stories to my co-workers. Ok, back to work.
