Default Pic of Mahogany Brown Metallic (LB8Z)?

Anyone have a good pic of Mahogany Brown Metallic paint, code LB8Z? My car was that color from the factory but sometime in its life was repainted in what I believe is a Mazda brown...I found some pictures online from a car sales group but the color looked somewhat dull in those pictures. Hopefully someone here can provide me with a good picture, otherwise when the time comes to paint I might just order more Mazda special :O lol

I agree - it looks a lot more like garnet red L M3Y (which is what I had on my 944 n/a)

Nice picture of the 944 in its natural state...broken down on the side of the road with paint peeling off.

LOL Actually that's Serge944's first car in 2003. That shot is on the way home after he bought it for $500. The last time I saw the car was when we did the belts at my house in 2004 and it was stolen from his apartment that same night. His dire transportation/school/work situation was posted here and generous Rennlisters ponied up enough money to upgrade him to the lovely $1000 944 shown below

That's the way RL was back then; maybe they still are but I don't know.

I'm not so sure that is the correct color.

It look like LM3Y, Garnet Red Metallic. Mahogany Brown, as I understand it, was a single stage color. That car not only looks like faded LM3Y, but even appears to show peeling clear coat, which would fit, as LM3Y is base/clear.

Here's fresh LM3Y under fluorescent:

....and in the sun:

And my avatar is horribly faded w/peeling clear coat LM3Y.

I'm not convinced you can really tell the difference between that and Mahogany in most photos. Digital camera and monitor color calibration just aren't that good unless you're working in a fully color calibrated work flow, which just doesn't happen for most people.

I did move away. I was trying to sell the car, but the only interested buyers were kids who.... well they wouldnt have been whats best for the car, lets say that

So, I left it in storage at my parents. Almost three years later, I could not stand one more drop of rain up in washington, so I moved back.

Now I'm slowly gathering parts to get the car in shape - slower than I'd like but getting married seems to do that, haha.
