If you guys are havin video issues, I may have an answer for you. EA likes to have proprietary video drivers for their own software. Toss them an email or look closely on the cd for drivers that best fit ur video card. Hope it works for u all.
If you guys are running the GEFORCE video card go here and download the latest XP detonator drivers for your card, <a href="http://www.nvidia.com" target="_blank">www.nvidia.com</a> ,that should cure any probs

"I can't get the game to work with Win2000. Any ideas?"

There's various driver and hardware-access conflicts with Win2000 and older 16-bit games. Here's some threads that discussed various solutions:

<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=013066" target="_blank">OT: NFS pU </a>
<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=012809" target="_blank">serious problem </a>

All these solutions are hit & miss depending up on the particular combination of hardware and software you have. Best bet is to set up a dual-boot configuration so you can reboot into Win98 and run the older 16-bit games.

we played. was fun. until tomorrow

NFS PU , for the most part, does NOT work in windows 2000. it works in xp, and in me/98/etc but in 2000 its totally messed up, the your pagefile size and the temp file the game makes when loading cause tons of weird problems so you're probably out of luck.

the game is really cheap now, check walmart or ebx or whatever kind of place you have that sells games for jewel cases, it doesnt come in the box anymore, of this game.

good luck

What's your point? What else would you call it when going to school for no other reason then to gain knowledge in differant subjects that you don't already know about?

I got the game to work. You need to change the screen swap to 382 both min and max and delete the .dll file that the install creates.

Yeah, it was a blast. Let's hope more than three Rennlisters make it to the lobby tonight The 944 races are the best.

Sometimes it works in 2k and sometimes it doesn't; try running it in compatibility mode (I'm sure someone has already suggested that).

Brett, Operator: See you tonight <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

Just wanted to add that if you create a game have Rennlist in the name. As an example, when we were playing last night the game was called "944 – Rennlist NFS", that way we’ll know were fellow Rennlisters are <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Ciao,

Derek

You can pick this game up at Wal-Mart for $9.99 and that's the full version. However it's just the jew case only and not manuals. I purchased a second game from Wal-Mart like this not to long ago as I was having problems burning it until the latest version of clone cd came out.

We started, I believe, at about 10 Eastern (7 Pacific).

The game is well worth 10 dollars!
