Only with FM reception, and usually after 20 minutes of listening (although this timing is totally inconsistent) the radio cuts out...then back in for a few seconds...then out again for a few seconds, and so on and so forth. Hit the AM switch and everythings fine. No interruptions. Go back to FM and if I'm lucky I'll catch up to 20 seconds of uninterrupted music...then it starts cutting in and out again. Tape deck works fine. No interruptions there.

I'm pretty sure it's the original radio, don't know the model number but I've seen this one in other 944's.

Any idea on how to correct/fix this. Could it be overheating? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Time for a new one! I know that isn't too helpful, but these radios are 15 years old. You could probably buy a base model car cd player for $100.
