I ordered the parts to convert my door handles to 968 handeles, and got everything BUT the roses - when we called about them, we were told there were none in North America, NOR IN GERMANY! AND, the 944 part #s were going to be phased out!!!
Anyone else run into this???
Anyone have a source for the roses? I cannot continue with the conversion until I have them!!!
BTW, the conversion looks easy - my advice is to order the pin for the 968 doors, instead of fooling with the "non-removeable" 944 pin. I'm thinking of checking out the hardware store for a substitute, myself...

I bought my roses or 'Rosette' as it has been written on the sticker last year from Zuffenhausen. At least week ago they where available from Germany (ordered them to my buddys car)Check out from Porsches official site (euro server) look for customer center. There's contact information you need.I have been contact with mr Marc Noack, he is most helpful. If you are not able to have roses from your local dealer, just call Marc and i suppose you will have them in couple of days (Porsche uses DHL,UPS etc.).

Forget from my previous post.
You are able to use 944 "drigger" You must have a new pin.I used universal 3mm pin which cost few euro cents from my local parts store. Most 944 handle parts can be use.It needs a little pit "bluprinting" though.Dremel tool is quite handy with these modifications.

I've purchased new roses in the last two weeks from my local Porsche dealer. There was a delay getting one, but both were in in about 10 days. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

BTW, I would spring for the 968 control lever - LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER!!

Ummm, where did you buy the handles. They are ripping you off. You go to the dealer and ask for the handle update kit. It comes with everything you need. Handles, roses, pulls, and rubber gaskets. You use your lock. I bet they parted out your kit so they could make more off of you.

Hey I remember you, you were baggin on my 968 conversion for my cabrio. : ]
anyway, yeah, they are ripping you off if you did not get the roses. I got the whole kit with the gaskets included for $68 a side. I don't know if thats common but at Continental Porsche in Fairfield CT it was the price at the time. That was two years ago. Things may have changed

Sorry my man, invoices long gone.
I suggest you call around to the Porsche dealers in Excellence. That is probably your best bet. Also, different Porsche dealers to different kits. Many had the aero mirror kits and the handle kits. Good luck.
