I have not been able to find one instance of a belt failure on any of the other models that have been produced by Gates Racing division. Gates will only guaranty them to the factory change intervals though.

They are a far superior belt to the ones we have now and they could probably be run well into the 60k range but they are not warrantied past the factory change time / mileage.

$139 ... but most people want to change both belts at the same time which is why we paired them with a quality gates balance shaft belt for $179 (sale $164)? Right...
There are a number of people with balance shaft delete kits...

Sale is good until I get into the office tomorrow morning to take it down, so you have all night.

That's silly. For years we wanted a stronger timing belt and now that we have one, we are afraid of change... Go figure.

Thanks! I'll be placing the order on Friday when I get back to the domicile. Do you have all the front engine seals too? I probably need to do them too.

If nobody else wants to jump on this, then I guess I'll be the Guinea pig.

Guys these belts are the real deal. For liability reasons, vendors/manufacturers cant say that they will outlast factory specs.

Im gonna go on the record here, and I am in no way affiliated with Gates, or Rennbay so take what I say here with a grain of salt.

These belts DO NOT stretch.
These belts DO NOT break.
and these belts will not breakdown from contact with oil, like most 944 timing belts do.

Gates has put out some really really high quality belts that ive seen for other cars. They really are one of the best belts that money can buy. Its a good thing we finally have some updated, newer technology like this for the 944. As crazy as we are about doing the timing belts on these cars, we should be thankful that there is something like this offered for our cars now.
