Post Pep boys new partnership with uncle bens...

hey y'alls,
i was just checkin out the latest "high rev tuners" on sped channel, hoping to catch bubb rubb and lil sis with the whistler tips on their hoopties... haven't seen em yet so they cut to a commercial, and its this ricer with his totally queer looking integra with all this useless stuff that doesnt do jack for the car other than add weight, and theres the three pep boys head cartoons talking about how he got it all there. i'm never going to pep boys again, if i want rice i'll go to the supermarket!

thank goodness for non-rice parts suppliers like paragon and ians, etc...

now if i could just get my car to stop this left-turn only nonsense, i could stop watching sped channel altogether! ian shipped it thurs. afternoon, so it should be here tomorrow, and i'll get the alignment tuesday... woohoo!!!

time for bed, 24 hrs of racing wore me out!

Most of the chain autoparts stores sell that stuff. Pepboys is just the only place that advertises it.

You can buy Type R and gtR stickers for like $10 at kragan.

Hell, if I was in the auto parts chain store business, I'd totally sell that stuff... more profit for me! Is anyone going to sit here and say that if they ran a Pep-Boys they wouldn't sell ricer stuff? Heck no. I'll bet the owner of PepBoys has a Porsche. Its all about using the stupid people to pay for your smarter solution.

Pepboys has some decent products in fact...If you're into having new-car or vanilla scent, they have these plastic scent pieces that clip to the air vents, and run back into the vent...hardly noticable and cheap. 4 for 2 bucks! They are also open late.

PS- HAHA just looking on their site, I found a NOS kit for a 944...didn't think they were this easy to find...haha

I will take a picture of the vent clips in my car sometime...

I noticed a riced out civic yesterday on the way to MichelleJD's.. black 2 door with a Vtec sticker on the winshield and trunk. Type R on the front fenders. Maybe the stock 13" hubcaps gave it away for me.. Oh- did i forget the "go faster" bad window tint, bubbles and all? All that guy needs now are Ferrarri stickers on the windows....It'll go faster with more stickers.

i just saw a classic episode of high rev tuners. with the VW bug that had porsche "933" wheels and wing, then later the anouncer was talking about holes in the back of some little ricer car & stated that "rear wind diffusers come from the import racing scene". riiiiiiiiiiiightt
