Insurance Co. that does Agreed Value?
I've checked the archives and didn't find anything so I'm asking.
Can anyone recommend or know of a company that is reasonable, reliable, and will insure for an agreed value? I curently use USAA and if I were in an accident, I would lose a lot of money.
TIA,
Daniel

I can't help you out with a name but be careful when getting an agreed value policy. Some of them have contract language that states that they won't pay anymore than actual cash value or some such words to that effect. This tends to throw you back into the valuation argument situation.
Insurance companies that write a lot of policies for collector cars would probably be the best bet to get a square deal where you specify a value and that is what is paid if you total out the car.
You want to take a long hard look at what exactly you are doing. Is the additional premium for the full coverage worth it? I usually drop the collision once the car's value drops much below $20k. If you are accident prone or drive like a madman you probably want to drop the decision point down to 10 grand or so.

My normal insurance takes care of all my classic cars...Triumph,Firebird,Mustang and P-Car...they do require a photo inside-out from all angles...and reasonable too...then again I have been doing business with them for 20+ years.

Speaking of collector car policies - does anyone know of one that will accept a car that is parked in a secured parking garage instead of a private garage?
I've checked a few companies but no one seems to accept the fact that it's a shared (but secure) area.
Considering I don't drive the car often, I'd like to switch to one of the "Under 5000 miles per year" policies that are so attractively priced.

I use American Collectors from FLA,I live in NJ the highest in the nation. They have great rates with garage, milage, and a restriction that says everyone of driving age in the household must have their own cars and policies. You can go online and investigate. You can even put in different values and it will give you instant quotes. I also have a zero deductable....Red
