Post O.T. Pumpkin Chinkin!

did anyone else see the show on Discovery channel about Pumpkin Chunking contests? They showed a pumpkin getting shot out of an air cannon and goign THROUGH the door of a Ford Explorer! There were machines shooting pumpkins up to around 3/4 of a mile!

I just saw it- unbelevable. I was drawn in originally by the lawn mower racing prior to the punkin chunkin segment. I getting cabin fever!!! I remember shooting water balloons from a 3-man slingshot up to 1000 feet- but this was nuts.. made me want to build a potato launcher again..

I saw a show once where these guys had built a big trebuchet out of junk... they were hurling some firly large objects across a corn field. They launched a piano, it just came completely apart when it landed..

I would love to build a trebuchet... <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />
