yeah pinstripes don't belong on any porsche.

makes the car ugly just like those stupid porsche light up things people added to the back of the car.

Thanks for all the imput. They wanted over $600 to repaint the stripe. Not doing it. My car also has trim on the door and fenders is this also aftermarket?

No, that was actually a pretty expensive feature. Nice to have in supermarket parking lots, btw.

Please post a picture of this stripe the shop wants $600 to re paint. I know someone that used to go to new car dealers and pinstripe cars. I think he got something like $40 a car, would do ten cars on the lot and go to the next dealer. the dealer would then charge $200 for the stripe on the car.

I'm guessing that the extra is to make sure it's probably done on a Porsche. I ran into the same issues when I got my 944 repainted. I guess Porsches require extra special effort or something...
