Post Raybestos brake pads?

All the places in my area seem to only sell Raybestos brake pads (and Ferodo, but they suck). Anyone know if there are good for the Pcar or not? I think they have a "performance" line or somesuch...

well, despite being the official brakes of nascar and all, I would suggest Hawk HPS pads, not as cheap but good stuff, www.vertexauto.com anyone else sell these?

I bought a pair of Axis (not sure of the spelling) on my 87 944 a couple of years ago.

I bought them from a Import parts store when my raybestos brake pads needed to be replaced. The Axis pads weren't much more expensive than the raybestos and I plan on using them again.

Anyone else heard of these b-pads?

I used them on all 4 corners, not just a pair like I wrote.

Axis make metalmaster and deluxe pads, also available at vertex. Be careful around that brake dust though, rinse thoroughly and wear a mask, asbestos is no fun, but it is a carcinogen, no mesotheliomas guys, ok?

Metal Masters, as with most of today's brake pads, are asbestos-free.

Darn, "I used to love the smell of fresh asbestos filled brake dust early in the morning..."
