long time hesitation gone.
I have been dealing with this issue for some time but I never really dove in to it.
My 87 944 would sort of hesitate or slip when going up through the RPMS, like it was cutting fuel as I was going. I was fine under WOT never bissed a beat but if you were part throttle you could definatly feel it.
I decided to take the cover off of the air meter and bend the arm slightly to get clean contact surface and I also went through and cleaned all of the electronics. Took it for a ride and instantly better - feels like a new car!
Just thought I'd share.

When you say "through the RPMs" was it always at the same spots? Mine hesitates from 3400-3600 in every gear, but only at light throttle. I think I'll try what you mentioned. Do you have more details to help me find the arm in the air meter so I can bend it?
Thanks!
Dale.
