if you paint it and fix the interior and get it running good it'll be worth what maybe 2000? so I don't think you'd profit.

Probably not even that in today's economy.

What I would do is to just try and turn around and sell it as is, running. I don't think the early N/A 924's really have many parts worth much value. The shell is too rusted to make useful for a track car.

I disagree with both of you on that. The rust is mostly surface rust, with the exception of the top of the hatch (even that is not bad). I would sell as is unless like others said you want to restore it. The shell looks fine for a track car.

Walk away from the car. Not that it can't be fixed, but it's not worth the time or effort. A mint low mileage 924 is worth what, maybe 4-5k. You could spend $5,000 and have a nice $1,500 car.
