O2 sensor?
My '89 951 is running very rough at start-up when engine is cold. It is choppy for about 10 seconds, then it will straighten up and hum like it's supposed to. I'm thinking O2 sensor, but I don't want to waste time and money. Thought I'd as for a little advice. Any ideas? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Could be that. I chased down a rough startup to idle stabilizer. The O2 sensor needs to be warm to have an effect on idle. Idle Stabilizer opens up during cold start to let more air into intake.

The O2 sensor has to be pretty warm (like 300 degrees) to work. I doubt that even the heated sensors can reach temperature in ten seconds, so I'd look elsewhere.
