tom, we could paint the cam with no problems. but, if anyone else's is like mine, there is quite a bit of play in the side to side motion. before someone ribs me, i am sure that there is SUPPOSED to be some play, but in general the cam is **** - IMHO. the flanges on the cam can easily ship and fall off.
as for the kind of train he drives...do you really "drive" a train? i thought it was just speed up, slow down, speed up, slow down. keep me posted on your progress with your cam project, and if you need any input feel free to pester the hell outta me!! <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
